Street Kids Direct in Scheveningen (NL)

On Kingsday the Netherlands turns orange, and we as Dutch people finally decide we are merchants instead of vicars after all. Flea markets spring up all over the country, and we as a family always use sell goods for @streetkidsdirect at the Belgisch Park in Scheveningen (NL) that day.

Street Kids Direct is a foundation which looks after children at risk in South America.

For us this is also a great event. We always have a lot of fun with our customers. Please find below a gallery with pictures of some of our beloved customers.

‘Yes!’ – A hardback from Michael Crichton
‘I will graduate from the Hotel School in a couple of weeks time, and then I want to read a lot!’ Well that will definitely work with the 3x Lynda La Plante and the other three thrillers she bought!
‘I never heard of Sue Grafton and Tess Gerritsen, but I take your word for it!’
‘I am looking for science fiction’ (Robert Harris – ‘The Fear Index’)
‘We already bought them, but are happy to collaborate with the photographer’ (‘The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency’ by Alexander McCall Smith and ‘Ghana Must Go’ by Taiye Selasi)
‘Jewish authors of course!’ Herman Wouk ‘This is my God’ and J.D. Salinger ‘The Catcher in the Rye’
‘Dido’
‘Amongst others, Vikram Seth and Ken Follett’
‘I want to pick up skating again!’
